Nowadays PDF documents are found almost everywhere on the Internet and probably most of you every day have to work with pdf documents, such as manuals, tutorials, e-books etc. As you may know two of the most popular applications for reading PDF documents are Adobe Reader and Foxit PDF reader. But what happens if you do not have the software that is necessary for this purpose (e.g. if you need to work on a machine, which does not have any viewer to view PDF files ).
Here are few online applications, allowing you to read your PDF documents without installing any additional software. You will need only a web browser.
1. Google Docs is free online application allowing you to easily create, share, and edit different types of documents. You can also upload Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, HTML or plain text documents, create documents from scratch or publish them online, as webpages or in your blog.
To open the pdf document you only need to sign in to Google and then go to Google Docs. You can use Upload link on the main page to upload the PDF document.
Then in the next window click on Select files to upload link in order to select files from your computer. Finally click on Start upload. If you receive an error message, try to uncheck the two conversion options.
When you return to the main window you should see the new file in the list. Now just click on it and Google will open it.
2. Zoho Viewer is another online application to view different type of documents including Word, Excel, PDF, html, txt, etc. To use it just press the Choose file button in order to upload your document.
3. Samurajdata is another free application to view PDF documents online. Here you can also open a PDF document directly from the web without the need to download it.
4. PDFescape is a free online PDF reader and editor. Platform allows you to register if you want to use all its functions. Registered Users can log back later into PDFescape and work with previously opened files which can be saved on PDFescape servers. Registering is free and recommended for most users.
